The Percy Baxter Breakfast Program has existed since 2002, as a School Council initiative, supported by donations, fund raising and parent volunteers. In June 2009, we began serving breakfast each day, with financial support, food donations, and equipment donations through Breakfast Clubs of Canada. However, our most important donation has been the wonderful volunteer support from staff, students, parents, and community partners. Each week we log between 25 and 30 volunteer hours. These hours involve arriving early to open the school, preparing food, setting up, serving, cleaning up, and shopping. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the breakfast program at Percy Baxter School.
